How much serious when people say 'See you again'?

For the first time in 5 months, I met a friend after finishing the work. We first made each other's acquaintance in summer two years ago ,at the language school in Manchester. Even it's been for over 10months since I came back to Japan, it was the second time to see each other in Japan.

We talked a lot mostly about the memories in Manchester, future plans, and to learn language's issue (as learning English is still really tough task for us Japanese). I was really glad to hear that she is planing to get a working visa in Canada and start to work in Toronto from this December.

When I met the person who is trying to his/her best to make his/her life happier or so with clear purpose, I'm really motivated. I actually met such a person last night as well, so was really happy. After we had good time for a while, went to the station, then said 'See you again!'. In these couple of weeks, so many people said to me 'See you soon!'. However, the matter fact is that, this words let me a bit down and give me mixed feelings of joy and sorrow because no one knows whether we will really see each other again or not. I suppose everyone really believe that we'll see each other again though the reason of saying this is more likely to be hope.

I truly want to see them, so I will never say 'Good-bye', will say 'See you again'.

To my surprise, I found out that the parcel, which was posted from my friend in Poland, has arrived to my house when I came back my house. He send it as a Christmas present though chose the ship mail so it finally took about 4months. Some items from the parcel have got some damages but I am so happy for everything anyway!
